Important Warning Before Uploading
GPL files are sometimes compressed within a main folder. Therefore, before uploading the theme to WordPress, always extract/unzip the downloaded ZIP file to check its contents.
- If you find
theme-name.ziportheme-name-child.zipinside after extracting, upload only the theme-name.zip file. - If there is a 'Plugins' folder inside, install those plugins one by one after the theme is installed.
How to Install the Theme?
- Go to Dashboard: Log in to your website's admin panel (wp-admin).
- Open Themes Section: From the left sidebar menu, click on Appearance > Themes.
- Click Add New: Click the "Add New" button at the top of the page, and then click the "Upload Theme" button.
- Select File: Click "Choose File", select the extracted
theme-name.zipfile, and click "Install Now". - Activate: After the installation is complete, click the "Activate" link.
Important: Plugin Installation Process
After activating the theme, when you get the option to install required plugins, do not install all plugins together in bulk/batch. This can cause your site to get stuck. Always install and activate plugins one by one.
Common Theme Installation Errors & Solutions
1. Error: "The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet"
Solution: Extract the main zip file you downloaded. Upload only the correct theme-name.zip file found inside it.
2. Error: "Are you sure you want to do this?" / "Link has expired"
Solution: This happens due to a low upload size limit on your server. Go to your hosting panel (cPanel), increase the PHP upload_max_filesize, or upload the file directly via File Manager.
3. Error: Asks for License Key when activating the theme
Solution: Since this is a GPL version, a license key is not required. Just ignore the warning message. All premium features of the theme are already unlocked.
