Important: JSON vs ZIP
Individual Elementor templates are usually provided as .json files. If your download is a ZIP file, extract it first to check for the JSON files inside.
- Do not upload these files through the "Plugins" or "Themes" menu.
- If you have a JSON file, use the "Import Templates" tool in the Elementor menu.
How to Install Elementor Templates?
- Go to Templates: Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Templates > Saved Templates.
- Import Template: Click the "Import Templates" button at the top of the screen.
- Upload File: Click "Choose File" and select your
.jsonfile. Click "Import Now". - Use the Template: Create a new page or edit an existing one with Elementor. Click the Folder Icon (Add Template) in the Elementor editor, go to the "My Templates" tab, and click "Insert" on your imported design.
Common Import Issues & Solutions
1. Error: "Invalid File" or security restriction
Solution: Go to Elementor > Settings > Advanced and enable the "Enable Unfiltered File Uploads" option. This allows WordPress to accept JSON files.
2. Template looks broken or is missing styles?
Solution: Ensure you have installed any required Elementor Add-on plugins listed in the product description. Also, go to Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS to refresh the styles.
